| Limoges porcelain is hard-paste porcelain produced by factories in and around the city of Limoges, France beginning in the late 18th century, but does not refer to a particular manufacturer. Limoges maintains the position it established in the 19th century as the premier manufacturing city of porcelain in France.
We can't tell you much about this piece, and neither can Replacements Ltd. We looked through 42 pages of their Limoges patterns and did not see it among their many bird plates. They cannot tell us the pattern name or designer, though the "J" marking above the trademark is a clue. This plate is in perfect condition, and since this is the only piece we have, it cannot command a premium pricing. It measures 5 1/2 inches in diameter. |
