cup and saucer - LEFTON
This is a lovely ROSES CUP and SAUCER made by Lefton China. These are decorated with light pink and dark pink roses and green leaves. The saucer has a ribbed scalloped edge and the cup is lightly ribbed on the outside with a smooth rim. There is a black circle around the centers. The cup is approximately 2 ¼” tall and 4 ¼” across. The saucer is approximately 5 ¾” across.
There is a blue and red MADE IN JAPAN Lefton crown used 1952 - 1954, the silver remains of a Lefton label used 1954 - 1956 and the number 975 on the bottom of the cup. There is a blue and red Lefton crown used 1954 - 1956 and the number 975 on the bottom of the saucer.
This appears to be in good condition as I can find no chips, cracks or crazing but there is a small amout of gold loss on the handle. The camera flash makes gold distorted but it is actually very nice.
