Seller's Description

Original 10 inch x 8 inch Front-of-House Still (Lobby Card) of MICHAEL REDGRAVE & PHYLLIS CALVERT in the 1941 Carol Reed Comedy Drama KIPPS, based on the novel by H.G. Wells.

Social-climbing draper's assistant Arthur Kipps (Redgrave) finds himself going up in the world when he inherits a small fortune. However, he attracts the attention of ruthless society gold-digger Helen Walshingham (Wynyard), who plans to trick Kipps into marrying her so she can get her hands on his money.

In the backdrop of this still are the Crystal Palace Dinosaurs commissioned in 1852 to accompany the Crystal Palace after its move from the Great Exhibition in Hyde Park. They were unveiled in 1854 as the first dinosaur sculptures in the world.

The still is in very good condition with corner pinholes.
