Original 1945 British French language 14 1/2 inch x 19 1/2 inch Poster of GENERAL SIR BERNARD LAW MONTGOMERY.

Portrait by Harold Forster
Harold Forster was the British artist responsible for the pre-Second World War ‘Black Magic' chocolate illustrations, and the famous wartime poster "Keep Mum, She's Not So Dumb". He also produced iconic RAF film posters for The Dam Busters and Angels One Five.

Numbered G.P.288/79

The General Production Division (GPD), one of the few divisions to remain in place throughout the war, undertook technical and artistic work under Edwin Embleton.

Date stamped on the reverse October 15, 1945.

The poster is in very good condition with 1 horizontal fold, a couple of short tears at the right edge and a "Specimen of British war literature supplied for record purposes only" stamp in the lower right corner.
