Seller's Description

King Records was a United States based record label, headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio, started in 1943 by Syd Nathan, specializing in country music, at the time still known as "Hillbilly music". King advertised "If it's a King, It's a Hillbilly -- If it's a Hillbilly, it's a King".

This mid 1940's recording is in good shape, and shows no cracks, chips, or skips. Moderate scuffs and scratches will be found but a decent sound has been maintained!

Side 557-A presents the vocal with guitar of "I Ain't Goin' Honky Tonkin' Any More", and side 557-B offers, "I'll Never Cry Over You". Both Ernest Tubb originals are performed by Hankshaw Hawkins, killed in a plane crash in 1963 along with Patsy Cline and Cowboy Copas.
