Seller's Description

Original 9 1/4 inch x 7 1/4 inch Portrait of ALBERT LIEVEN for the 1951 Ken Annakin Comedy HOTEL SAHARA.

In World War II, desert hotel proprietors Emad (Sir Peter Ustinov) and Yasmin (Yvonne De Carlo) are caught between the warring armies and have to constantly shift their political allegiance to whichever army happens to control the area.

Portrait by Cornel Lucas. Born in 1923 Lucas was a world-renowned Rank Studios photographer known for his legendary black-and-white portraits of stars including Joan Collins, Brigitte Bardot, Lauren Bacall, Marlene Dietrich, Katharine Hepburn and Diana Dors, among many others.

The portrait is in very good condition with a cast list tacked to the reverse.
