Original British Set of 8 11 inch x 14 inch Lobby Cards for the 1958 Joseph Losey Historical Drama THE GYPSY AND THE GENTLEMAN, based on the novel by Nina Warner Hooks and starring Melina Mercouri, Keith Michell, Flora Robson, Patrick McGoohan, June Laverick, Lyndon Brook, Helen Haye, Mervyn Johns, Laurence Naismith, Nigel Green and John Salew.
Opulent British throwback to The Wicked Lady school of melodramas. Mercouri is the fiery gypsy gold-digger who marries a Regency playboy (Michell) only to find that he has no money, only debts.
The set is in very good condition. Some of the cards have numbers written in the bottom right corner. The cards were printed in Italy for UK use.
