These awesome Giant-Size Comics were first released in the summer of 1974 and are coveted by Comics’ Collector’s today!
 I am the original owner...these are all bought by me off the newsstands when they were released! I’ll be listing many sets of these in the coming weeks!
2 – Sept. 1974 – NM-!  “Call Them Triad... Call Them Death”! is by Chris Claremont, Don Heck and Frank McLaughlin shows Dracula running amok throughout the streets of London, as Detective Kate Fraser tries to make sense of these 10 brutal killings! Y’Garon is one of the Triad of Elder Gods & wants to ready to sacrifice Kate to free the other two trapped in another dimension to reclaim this world they once ruled! Dracula is angered, seeing Kate as his wife Maria and he breaks free, seeing Y’Garon as the Turk who killed his wife and attacks the villain beating him and hurling him into the pool. Dracula frees Kates and takes her out just moments before the Manor explodes! “The Girl in the Black Hood!” sees Photographer May Dusa notorious for always hiding her face under a black cloth. A crook makes an appointment with her intending to rob her but curiosity gets the best of him and he demands to see her face. May Dusa is Medusa and the guy gets stoned! r/p TALES TO ASTONISH #32. “On with the Dance!” by Stan Lee & Russ Heath sees selfish dancer Stella Scheele wants the lead in the show and threatens her rival at gunpoint, but the rival turns out to be a Witch who curses Stella so that she will never stop dancing until she wastes away and dies! r/p MENACE #2. “The Sweet Old Ladies” by Stan Lee & Dick Ayers as a killer on the run hides out in a small town where he forces his way into the home of two sweet old ladies, demanding a meal; the two old ladies turn out to be Witches who throw him in their cookpot! From ASTONISHING #18! “Vampire at the Window”  A man who spies a Vampire at his window calls on a private eye to protect him but the private eye turns out to be one too! from ASTONISHING #18. “Drive of Death” a driver hits and kills a man late at night. He pushes the car with the corpse aboard into a lake. Escaping through the woods, he is picked up by his ghostly victim who drives the car into the lake to kill him back! r/p ASTONISHING #17.
4 – Mar. 1975 - NM- - “Let It Bleed”! Opens in 1934, as Dracula kills a victim and throws him from an ocean liner! “man overboard” attracts a crowd of passengers and as Dracula mingles among them is also Beverly Carpenter… Dracula arrives in the nearby Devil’s Lake, North Dakota, because he has sensed a great evil there and considers it a threat to his own sinister plans. He encounters Beverly and they are surprised to see each other! Paul Carpenter has gone to church to seek help from the priest: he is desperate and afraid. He confesses that periodically he has been overwhelmed by a strong desire to kill, first a bird, then his dog, finally his wife, whom he frightened into running away from him and got caught in a blizzard where she died. (He omits mentioning killing his neighbor Anton Nyborg with an axe the day before.) The Demon from the lake is taking over the townsfolk, as Count Dracula encounters a creature more terrifying than himself! “Forbidden Drink” sees an aging Actor offer to "sell his soul" for the chance to be young again and woo the beautiful young girl of his eye. No sooner does he utter the words, than a mysterious man appears at his door offering him a jug of water he claims is from the fountain of youth. He says he will claim payment...later...and vanishes. The actor is doubtful it could actually work, but drinks from the jug anyway and finds to his surprise that he is a young man once again! r/p Mystic #2 (May 1951)! “The Gargoyles”! by Stan Lee & Steve Ditko sees a man discover a race of creatures that African natives base their wood carvings upon. Since they keep their presence secret, the man worries they mean humanity harm, but everyone refuses to believe his fantastic tale. Finally, an African expert agrees to listen to his story, but convinces the man he is imagining things. After he leaves the expert's office, the expert is shown removing a rubber mask revealing him as one of the gargoyles! from Tales of Suspense # 46 (October 1963)! “I Am the Living Ghost!” by Steve Ditko opens with “For the last seven hundred years I have been living in Blackhorn Castle, here on the desolate moors…” recounts him entering a castle determined to prove that there are no ghosts, but the events he experiences convince him that the castle is haunted, and so he flees. It turns out that the castle does not contain any ghosts, but is possessed by animated suits of armor and living stone gargoyles! from Tales of Suspense #15 (March 1961)! “You Can't Escape”! A Vampire addresses the reader..He tells how he first encountered his victim-to-be when he asked for help and was rebuffed. The vampire followed the reader, discovering where he lived and what comics he liked to buy. He spent considerable money printing up a custom copy of Adventures into Terror to place on the newsstand. The last panel of the story shows the vampire with claws extended and fangs bared - daring you to look over your shoulder!
5 – June 1975 – NM/M – “The Art of Dying!” is set in 1930’s Europe, sees a man hide in a house in the mountains, waiting for Dracula to come and kill him…. He recalls how he was a French government agent, until the night he overheard M. Duval with Dracula, being hypnotized to obey the Vampire Lord’s will, aiding him in conquering France! The Agent killed Duval to prevent his betraying his country. Dracula seized the Agent and tried to bite his neck but the man shot Dracula in the face and escaped. He fled to a small village in the Alps and then learned that Dracula has found him…Dracula swoops down on the Agent to feast on his blood but he has grown careless, the sun is rising and Dracula must abandon his victim and flee. The wounded Agent is helped by the local priest, Father Wetzel, who cares for him but begs him to leave the area, lest the Vampire prey upon the locals! He escapes to the Mountains, where Polcary Evanns’ airship is heading through the storm as they discover Dracula and the Agent below and bring them aboard. Dracula tries to kill the Agent who dashes holy water in the Vampire’s face. Agent tries to warn them but Evanns beats him up; Dracula returns to the ship and tries to feed on Eleanor. Evanns cracks up and attacks Dracula thinking he is his wife’s lover. The Agent grabs Eleanor and leaps overboard just as the zeppelin crashes into a mountain and explodes. The Agent and Eleanor are the only survivors and they head back to civilization! by David Anthony Kraft, Virgil Redondo  and Dan Adkins! “Dark Asylum!” is by David A. Kraft, Pencils by John Byrne (his very 1st Marvel work!!) with Inks by Rudy Nebres! An amnesiac finds himself in a castle, battling a Hellhound and a sexy Demoness before facing an evil Wizard who bears his face, defeating him in battle. He then wakes up in an insane asylum, having fought his way back to sanity! “The Hidden Vampire!” An American Reporter searching for a Vampire enters a creepy mansion in Hungary; he finds nothing suspicious inside but discovers the doors and windows sealed to keep him from leaving: the house itself is the Vampire! From JOURNEY INTO MYSTERY #21! “They Fly By Night” On a visit to Europe, a pair of Americans are killed by a Vampire and their son grows up to seek revenge. When he returns to the town, he finds his parents are now Vampires and doesn’t know whether to kill them or join them! from ADVENTURES INTO TERROR #30.
