Monochrome real photographic postcard showing a view of Miss Martyn, who wrote about Alice in Wonderland, feeding a sugar lump to a swan at West Kirby in Cheshire.

Postally used on 31 August 1939 with West Kirby cancellation on red 1d stamp and sent to Master Michael Pollit, 40 Elmfield Terrace, Halifax, Yorkshire.
Good condition, with very slight corner bumps, but light bend to bottom right corner.
