Rare education manual EM 612 'America in Literature'. Selected and prepared by the editorial staff United States Armed Forces Institute. For use of personnel of Army - Navy - Marine Corps - Coast Guard. It was published by F.S. Crofts & Co., Inc. and issued by the War Department Washington 25, D.C., 10th April 1944. The editor is Tremaine McDowell. The book contains stories and poems from American literature. The book has some foxing mainly on the page ends but otherwise nice and clean. The bottom staple isn't quite secure so a couple of the front pages are starting to come away a little on the lower half. The cover has some staining and marking with the spine yellowed and small tears in the top and bottom but for a World War II paperback it has survived really well. Length 23cms, width 15cms, 540 pages.
