Edinburgh from Craigleith; city in background, Edinburgh castle on hill at right, monument on hill at left, figures, one holding shepherds staff, with sheep and dog on road in foreground, trees and stone wall at left, within border.
Engraved by William Tombleson (active 1795 - 1835). Topographical engraver and draughtsman.
Drawn by Thomas Hosmer Shepherd (1793 - 1864). Topographical draughtsman and watercolourist, specialist in London topography, supplying numerous drawings for the print trade and for extra-illustrators.
