Original Belgian 14 inch x 22 inch Poster for the 1966 Ralph Nelson Western DUEL AT DIABLO, based on the Novel “Apache Rising” by Marvin Albert and starring Sidney Poitier (in his first western), James Garner, Bibi Andersson, Bill Travers and Dennis Weaver.
In Apache territory, a supply Army column heads for the next fort, an ex-scout searches for the killer of his Indian wife, and a housewife abandons her husband in order to rejoin her Apache lover's tribe.
Poster art by Frank McCarthy (1924 - 2002). McCarthy was an American artist and realist painter known for advertisements, magazine artwork, paperback covers, film posters, and paintings of the American West.
