Original circa 1832 6 1/4 inch x 5 3/4 inch engraving of DOGS
Portrait of Miss Thayer; seated half-length to right, looking to front, wearing white dress with black bolero, window behind at upper left.
Print by Ebenezer Landells (1808 - 1860). Wood-engraver, draughtsman illustrator and originator of various illustrated papers, including 'Punch,' 1841. Apprenticed to Thomas Bewick (q.v.) and Isaac Nicholson. Worked together with Charles Gray (q.v.) on illustrations as 'Landells & Gray'. AND Charles Gray. Wood and metal engraver; pupil of Isaac Nicholson in Newcastle; moved to London and worked under fellow pupil Ebenezer Landells, after which he trained George Dalziel.
