Seller's Description
This is a vintage original postcard from early 20th C. and was kept in a thick paper album with corner straps that belonged to my late grandfather. The image shows a painting of Pfalzgrafenstein Castle. Publisher Künstlerkarten-Verlag von Karl Rud. Bremer & Co., Köln a. Rh. Unposted, rear is unwriten. Rear has Die Pfalz bei Caub. Ein kastellartiger Bau, mitten im Rheinstrom gelegen, im 15 Jahrh. der Rheinzölle wegen erbaut. Hier vollzog Blücher in der Neujahrs-nacht 1813/14 den Rheinübergang. Nr. 5339 (Rhein). Size 140x90mm. It is in Excellent condition for age, see scans (which clearly show ALL edges). For protection it will be posted in an acid free plastic sleeve in a "Do not bend" card backed envelope.
