Seller's Description
This superb soloist emerged in the 1940's with a need to express the feelings of the GIs and their sweethearts during one of the most romantic periods of the last century, the war years. The quintessential superstar had 9 gold records achieved before there was MTV or television. Here are two of his best baritone vocals from Decca Records. With an excellent grading, both sides are nice sounding and mostly clean. A few incidental scratch and scuff marks, but minimal background noise. No cracks, chips, or skips.
Side 18710-A offers, "Isn't It Kinda Fun", from the 1945 musical romance 20th Century Fox Picture "State Fair". Side 18710-B lists, "The Lord's Been Good To Me". Both are vocalized by the deep voice of Dick Haymes, with the Victor Young and Lyn Murray Orchestras.
