This bit is called a gag, but only acts to raise the head with light action, once beyond this point it will lower the head.
The cartwheel provides superb steering where normal ring gags fail, in addition the gag action is much more precise as it doesn't have to run via a curved ring.
This bit is also ideal to pick the head up in front of a fence for horses that "duck".
Tongue Saver Properties:-
* Minimal pressure on the tongue
* Allows the horse to swallow
* Shaped to the horse's mouth
This bit should help prevent the tongue from lolling out due to pressure, ideally please try with a simple cavesson noseband on first use.
