Seller's Description

1925 was the year Columbia switched from the old method of acoustically recorded pressings to the new electric recording process licensed from Western Electric. This company has a long history, dating back to 1888, and was one of the "Big Three" in recording companies, competing with Edison and Victor. They remain the oldest continually used brand name in recorded sound, now owned by Sony Music since 1988.

Offered here is a pair of soprano solos on one of the new "exclusive artist" recordings. In squeeky clean condition - looks almost NEW, with no skips, cracks, or chips. Minimal background hiss for a clear and faultless sound!

Side 80402 presents "I Cannot Sing The Old Songs", and side 80407, "All Through The Night". Both are performed by Margaret Romaine, as soprano solos with orchestra accompaniment.
