Seller's Description
1925 was the year Columbia switched from the old method of acoustically recorded pressings to the new electric recording process licensed from Western Electric. This company has a long history, dating back to 1888, and was one of the "Big Three" in recording companies, competing with Edison and Victor. They remain the oldest continually used brand name in recorded sound, now owned by Sony Music since 1988.
This mid-1940's recording is in fine shape! Grading as very good+ with little visible playwear. More wear on the labels than on the grooves. Very light scuff and scratch marks can hardly be heard. Mostly clean and clear!
Side CO 43073 lists the novelty song, "Choc'late Ice Cream Cone", and side CO 43074 plays a second novelty tune, "Breakfast At Seven". Both melodies are performed by the fabulous Tony Pastor and his Orchestra, and are representative 1940's Big Band sounds!
