Seller's Description
1925 was the year Columbia switched from the old method of acoustically recorded pressings to the new electric recording process licensed from Western Electric. This company has a long history, dating back to 1888, and was one of the "Big Three" in recording companies, competing with Edison and Victor. They remain the oldest continually used brand name in recorded sound, now owned by Sony Music since 1988.
This mid-1940's recording is in great shape! Grading at near-mint++. Superb condition in all respects! Clean, glossy, and just a trace of playwear. Superior audio on both plays.
Side CO 41726 features the fox trot, "I Never See Maggie Alone", with a vocal chorus by Tony Pastor. Side CO 41727 plays the fox trot, "I've Got A Lovely Bunch Of Cocoanuts", with a Tony vocal. Both melodies are orchestrated by the renown Tony Pastor and his Orchestra, and are memorable 1940's Big Band tempos!
