Seller's Description
1925 was the year Columbia switched from the old method of acoustically recorded pressings to the new electric recording process licensed from Western Electric. This company has a long history, dating back to 1888, and was one of the "Big Three" in recording companies, competing with Edison and Victor. They remain the oldest continually used brand name in recorded sound, now owned by Sony Music since 1988.
Offered here is a fairly clean and mostly clear sounding pair of 1940's Tommy Tucker Time recordings.
Side CCO 4319 presents the classic sound of "On The Atchison, Topeka And The Santa Fe", a fox trot from the 1946 film "The Harvey Girls". Side CCO 4321 lists, "Welcome Home", also a fox trot with vocal chorus by the Three Two Timers! Light surface wear and some scratches are to be expected but no skips are caused. Decent gloss remains with no breaks, skips, cracks, or chips.
