Seller's Description

"The wizard of the keyboard," Frankie Carle was one of the most entertaining pianists of the 1940's and 1950's.

Starting in 1916, he worked with a number of mainstream dance orchestras. He became a featured performer (and later partner) in the Horace Heidt orchestra, leaving in 1944 to form his own band. His daughter, billed as Marjorie Hughes, was the lead singer. Carle had several million-sellers in the late 1940's and early 1950's, including his theme song, "Sunrise Serenade" .

Offered here is a very clean and wonderful sounding pair of piano solos. Virtually no background noise will be heard since this platter has no cracks, chips, or skips. I see only light scratches and scuff marks. A high gloss sheen still shows.

Side CO 27521 presents "Estelle" with rhythm accompaniment. Side CO 27524 shows, "Stumbling", also with rhythm accompaniment.
