Seller's Description

1925 was the year Columbia switched from the old method of acoustically recorded pressings to the new electric recording process licensed from Western Electric. This company has a long history, dating back to 1888, and was one of the "Big Three" in recording companies, competing with Edison and Victor. They remain the oldest continually used brand name in recorded sound, now owned by Sony Music since 1988.

Offered here is one of the new Viva-Tonal "electrical process" recordings, #2079-D. In fabulous condition, though the labels show some light wear and fading. Minimal playwear and virtually no scratches for a rich sound reproduction! Glossy, with no skips, chips, or cracks.

Side 149626 presents "Dough-Boys Lullaby", from the Talkie Movie "Blaze O' Glory". Side 149627 offers, "Romance", from the Talkie Hit, "Cameo Kirby". Both are performed by the Waltz Artists, The Cavaliers.
