Seller's Description
1925 was the year Columbia switched from the old method of acoustically recorded pressings to the new electric recording process licensed from Western Electric. This company has a long history, dating back to 1888, and was one of the "Big Three" in recording companies, competing with Edison and Victor. They remain the oldest continually used brand name in recorded sound, now owned by Sony Music since 1988.
This mid-1940's recording is in VG+ condition! Moderate and normal playwear of scuff and scratch marks but a decent pair of plays.
Side CO 37422 features, "Red Silk Stockings And Green Perfume", with a vocal chorus by Tony Pastor, and side CO 37428 plays the melody, "Get Up Those Stairs, Madeemoiselle". Both fox trots are performed by the legendary Tony Pastor and his Orchestra, and are OUTSTANDING 1940's Big Band tempos!
