Seller's Description
An early to mid-1940s Columbia recording from "Little" Jimmie Dickens. Dickens is the master of the country novelty song, as well as a renowned ballad singer. He's also known for his diminutive stature -- he's less than five feet tall -- and his affection for flamboyant, rhinestone-studded outfits and country humor. Although he never had a consistent presence on the charts, he managed to have hits in every decade between the 1940s and the 1970s, and he became one of the Grand Ole Opry's most popular performers. Here's one of his earliest recordings.

Offered here is a fairly clean and decent sounding pair of country novelty vocals. Light background hiss, minor scuffs, and faint scratches are to be expected, but this platter has no cracks, chips, or skips and still shows a little gloss.
Side CO 43280 presents Dicken's classic "Walk, Chicken, Walk" ('Cause You're Too Fat To Fly). Side CO 43281 lists, "Just When I Needed You". Great toe-tapping sounds!
