Seller's Description

1925 was the year Columbia switched from the old method of acoustically recorded pressings to the new electric recording process licensed from Western Electric. This company has a long history, dating back to 1888, and was one of the "Big Three" in recording companies, competing with Edison and Victor. They remain the oldest continually used brand name in recorded sound, now owned by Sony Music since 1988.

Offered here is an mostly clean and decent sounding pair of 1940's Roy Acuff & His Smoky Mountain Boys country sounds.

Side CCO 4893 presents "When They Take That Last Look At Me", a vocal with string band, and side CCO 4896, "Heartaches And Flowers". Very light playwear and faint scratches will be found, but nothing that prevents the enjoyment of this recording. Clean, with no breaks, cracks, skips, or chips.
