Original 10 inch x 8 inch Black and White Portrait of JOAN SIMS in the 1960 Gerald Thomas Comedy CARRY ON CONSTABLE.
Text on reverse: Joan Sims as Policewoman Gloria Passworthy, a super-efficient officer of the law who joins a local constabulary as a relief owing to the regular staff being stricken with ‘flu. Her role in “CARRY ON CONSTABLE” is a straight acting part, unusual for the well-known comedienne who started in films after being spotted working at the Irving Theatre, London. “CARRY ON CONSTABLE” is Joan’s third picture in the fabulous ‘carry on’ series - her others include “Carry On Nurse” and “Carry on Teacher”.
