Lucas New Vehicle Equipment & Parts Information Notes
This listing is for TWO rare Lucas Electrical Spare Parts Lists, the principal one being for the 1958 introduction of the Aston Martin DB MkIII, document # TR 194, dated 10.10.57 and provides major unit part numbers for all electrical fittings. In addition where the major units are newly introduced a detailed parts breakdown is provided. Two pages on a single typed sheet. The second document # TR 149, dated 20.2.57 is for late changes on the 2/4 MkII model, i.e. Ammeter and distributor only. It does not provide a detailed parts breakdown of the later distributor.
These interim Lucas specification sheets sometimes got discarded when the subsequent yearly CCE list was published and so don't often come to light. A must for the historian who wishes to understand the evolution of electrical equipment fitting. One caveat: Lucas merely published part number specifications based on information provided to them by the vehicle manufacturer!
