Condition: VG. 71 Pgs. Book 1: A collection of 203 designs, published in cooperation with the Center for the History of American Needlework, reproduces the author's best charted designs exactly as they appeared in her original books. Included are alphabets in every style from chinoiserie to Gothic, birds (especially her now famous peacocks), flowers, quaint scenes of children, animals, and period children in silhouettes. A special 8 page color section with 87 designs, and the full-color designs appearing on the inside covers, all display her remarkable eye for color. These charts may be used for any needlework technique worked over counted threads or in blocks, as in cross-stitch, needlepoint, filet and mosaic crochet, petit point, quilts made from tiny squares, or even weaving designs for advanced artisans.
