Inside front cover is pasted the mailing address label of Capt John H Oliphint, pilot in 369th FS, signed gift dedication to original owner by Oliphint, and glued in typed list of pages Capt Oliphint is mentioned in the text of book. Capt Oliphint was a pilot from April, 1943 to June 8, 1944, shot down, captured and escaped. Later returned to England. First mention by the author of Capt Oliphint is in the acknowledgements: ''For a deep look into a warriors soul I thank John H Oliphint, a man I respectfully call The Predator.''
