For sale is the Aerie Books 1988 first (and only) printing of H.G. Well's classic "The Invisible Man". This edition includes additional material (the forward, life of H.G. Wells, and afterward) by Gregory Benford. Overall, the book is in acceptable condition though on the bottom end of that. The book appears to have been a student's book given the significant wear and the student's last name on the front, back, and inside first page. In addition, there are the occasional underlined passage. There is heavy wear on the covers to include creases, small tears, chipping, and heavy edge wear. The cover was printed slightly offset which means the text does not line up on the spine. This is a publisher defect. There is no severe spine cracking from bending though a strip of clear binding tape was applied to prevent further deterioration. There is minor paper browning from age.
