Overall condition is acceptable. This the first edition of Ballantine's paperback version of the novel. The front cover has moderate to heavy edge wear, dog ear creasing in the upper and lower right corners, a crease running parallel to the spine as caused by reading, two creases running vertically down the central portion of the cover, a 8mm to 9mm tear in the lower left corner, a tiny tear on the outer edge, and shelf wear. The back cover has moderate to heavy edge wear, chipping along the edges, dog ear creasing in the upper and lower left corners, and shelf wear. The spine has no vertical creases but has some slight staining from a grease pencil and moderate to heavy edge wear. Interior pages have discolored with age.
