Seller's Description

Mint condition, front and back, with no writing or mailing. An L.B. Prince card, #983 showing a mini-photo of every sight you'd want to see in D.C., namely:

Jefferson's Memorial,

Ford's Theatre,

White House,

Smithsonian Institution,

Immaculate Conception Shrine,

U.S. Capitol,

Pentagon,

Marine Corps Memorial,

Washington Cathedral,

J.F. Kennedy Grave,

U.S. Supreme Court,

Tomb of the Unknowns,

Washington Monument,

Mount Vernon,

White House (again), and

Lincoln Memorial

The back adds, "The skyline of Washington, D.C. is dominated by the Capitol and the Washington Monument. The Capitol is the key to the street address system even though it is not located in the center of the city. The city is laid out in rectangular blocks, created by streets intersecting at right angles. Also, diagonal arteries fan out from various centers. The radial lines are generally named after one of the fifty states. Pennsylvania Avenue is the most famous of them, with the White House at number 1600."
