Seller's Description
Measuring 4 1/8 X 5 7/8 inches, this John Alderson photo postcard is nearly perfect for condition. Light, lower corner wear only and no tears or creases. No writing or mailing, either. Printed in Ireland and published for Coastal Colour Products, the back relates:
"The Humpback Whale (genus Megaptera) - an ever increasing attraction off the northeast coast from Maine to Massachusetts is whale-watching. Shown here is a Humpback Whale starting to breach. The Humpback can attain a length of sixty feet and a weight of fifty tons. At birth they weigh approximately one ton and are generally fifteen feet in length."
