1965 AMAZING SPIDER-MAN ANNUAL # 2 * Dr. Strange! * FAIR/GOOD * $22.00 obo!
This is in FAIR/GOOD condition due to excessive cover wear. All pages are here and complete, but are a bit "stiff". This is a great filler Reading copy for Collector's!
"1. "The Wondrous World of Dr. Strange!" is by Writer Stan Lee with Pencils and Inks by Steve Ditko with Letterer Sam Rosen, as two of Xandu's henchmen actually steal the Wand of Watoomb, a relic of immense power and Spider-Man places a tracker on the thieves and follows them back to their hideout, where Xandu reveals the Wand he can create doorways to other dimensions and times, as well as see any place or object he desires. Spider-Man now interrupts Xandu, but is startled to find himself starting to disappear into an alternate dimension: he grabs the Wand of Watoomb, realizing its importance and Xandu sends the two henchmen after Spider-Man to get it back. As they fight, Dr Strange regains consciousness and follows the henchmen's traces to Xandu’s lair...where Dr Strange returns to his physical form and fights alongside Spider-Man, who trips Xandu with his webbing and retrieves the Wand. The Wand is then drained of its mystic power by Dr Strange, who also wipes the memory - and thus the evil intentions - of Xandu!
Next is the very 1st ever reprint of Amazing Spuder-Man # 1 and # 2, followed by # 5, where Spider-Man takes on Doctor Doom!!
