Seller's Description

Buick called this the pillarless Sedan but it's actually a four door hardtop. During it's time the model 4829 was referred to as a six window hardtop. (The Cadillac Sedan De Ville and the Olds 98 shared the same body) 1961 thru 1964 Electra 225's now are referred to as second generation cars. ( First generation of the Electra 225 encompassed the '59 and '60 models) I always considered the '63 full size Buick line the best looking Buicks ever produced. I personally favor the model 4829 as this is the second one I've owned. Equipped with the standard legendary 401 "nailhead" engine delivering 445 pounds-feet of brute torque at 2800 RPM. 1963 was the last year for the famous Dynaflow transmission which is the only automatic transmission ever produced that does not shift as it is a dual-range turbine drive transmission. It doesn't shift gears but depends strictly on torque multiplications within the torque converter to accomplish what other automatic transmissions get strictly by mulitiple gearsets and the shifts felt. One feels absolutely no shifts from a standing start all the way up to top end. This particular specimen is not a show car. I would consider it to be a 70 point car actually. It has new tires, new battery, carb has been recently rebuilt as well as the Dynaflow. It has a brand new dual exhaust system from the manifolds all the way out to the back bumper. We're just off of a new four lane highway, which makes it easy to take the Buick out for a good run at 70-80 mph. If you're looking for something you can drive and show now and slowly upgrade, this may be for you. The paint is an old repaint which has some thin spots, the A/C does not work. The upholstery is nice, original carpets, door panels and headliner; all very presentable but not perfect. All the glass is good and the P/W work fine. I will not ship this car but I will assist the buyer in finding someone to transport it to buyer's location at buyer's expense. If you wish to speak with me relative to this car, I can be reached at 502-354-1419. Payment for vehicle must be made within seven days of the day you purchase vehicle as a BUY NOW. I will accept wire transfer, certified or official bank check. If you pick the vehicle up in person cash is required.

I've never seen one that didn't have the legendary nailhead 401. $12,000 would be the lowest I would do.
