Seller's Description
A fine looking linen printing from C.T. Art-Colortone, card #9A-H2177 and image #108. Vintage early 1940's. No writing or mailing. Sharp and clean with even toning and just a trace of corner wear. No tears or creases. The back relates:
"The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier"....(not soldiers).... "in front of the Memorial Amphitheatre in Arlington National Cemetery is pure white Colorado marble.
The beautiful symbolic figures of Peace, Victory and Valor, commemorative of the spirit of the Allies, are on one end. On either side are three panels, in each of which is an inverted wreath. On the end facing the amphitheatre is an inscription reading: 'Here rests in honored glory an American soldier known but to God'."
