Seller's Description

This 3-stanza verse appears on image #N-663 and card #90281 by Asheville Post Card Co. In mint condition, front, back and all around. Reading:

"The roses never bloom out black In Carolina; The sun has never shown its back To Carolina; The roosters get right up and crow, And hearts don't beat very slow, For heaven and earth both seem to know It's Carolina.

The days are shorter by an hour In Carolina; And people are not near so sour In Carolina; And when I'm ready to cash in, Just take me back and I'll begin A glad eternity within Old Carolina.

The land is nowhere quite so bare In Carolina; Nor good things to eat so rare In Carolina; And if that great and happy land That's being made for mortal man, Ain't built on Carolina's plan, Tain't no good."
