HOW WE BEGAN
My sisters and I have always purchased books; then we would pass them around and at the end of the year donate them to the local library. We also purchased books from the library during their sale. Then we iscoveredEbid!!!. Since then, we have bought all of our books from Ebid. WHAT'S GOING ON NOW
We told others about Ebid. It seems everyone has books that they want to get rid of so they are giving them to us. As a result, there are books throughout Bev's house. Since these books are donated, we never know what we will be selling. That's why when someone emails and asks for a specific book, we have to say no. We are particular about what we accept. They must be in gently read condition or a book that sells well on bid sites like Steven King and Julie Garwood and other vintage writers.All of us work full time and have families. Bev is the head of the group since she owns the computer equipment and does most of the typing. We try to list the synopsis and a picture for each book so that viewing our auctions is like browsing in a bookstore.
The book is usually mailed out the first business day after we receive the payment. If after winning the auction, you find you can't pay (it happens) let us know to avoid negative feedback.
As you can see, this is a hobby, not a job so if you are one of those SERIOUS bidders, who want every "I" dotted, don't bid. We want bidders who just want to read a good, cheap book.
