Giving you a little more insight into the seller.
I am a collector of almost anything, but mainly -
Cigarette cards,
Postcards,
Football programmes
White Star Line memerobilia.
Over the years I have amassed far too many Postcards, Cigarette cards and football programmes so the big cull has started.
The White Star line and most of my Maritime stuff will not be sold due to sentimental value.
I am only keeping some of my collection of Cigarette cards for the only grandchild who has shown an interest in Cigarette / tea cards. ( I have six grandchildren ) So any extra cash is helpfull.
Grandkids seem more costly than my two daughters ever were..
I am never sure how to grade postcards or cigarette cards, so nearly all of my auctions state fair condition. By fair, I mean it's OK in my eyes.
Really though quality is in the eyes of the buyer rather than the seller. If you do ever look at anything I am selling the scan gives a pretty good idea.
I suppose I should add there are still a few things on my wanted list but doubt they will ever show up.
But for now -Card 177 The living picture series "The sailor's treasure" from a group of four very sad, even morbid postcards. I have 175, 176, and 178 and know what 177 looks like, even have a photo copy, but as they say :- "There ain't nothing like the real thing baby".
If one doesn't show up in the next year or two I suppose I will eventually sell the others. But you never know.
