CANTERBURYCROSS SHOP POLICIES

Why not visit my website - CanterburyCross Collectables to see lots more items and lower UK p&p.

Weekends
We are sometimes away at weekends standing at fairs - and sometimes we just like a day or two off. Please bear with me if I don't always come back to you immediately on a Saturday, Sunday or Bank Holiday Monday.

Payment methods
For UK buyers I offer Nochex and postal orders(my preferred payment methods), Paypal, bank transfers or cheques (payee Mrs S B Taylor, to clear before despatch).
For overseas (ie non-UK buyers) I offer paypal and cheques/bank transfers from UK banks only.
If none of these is acceptable to you, or you have alternatives that you would like me to consider, please contact me before buying.

Postage and Packaging
I normally have a collection at 2.30 pm, Monday to Friday. Basic insurance is already included in the postage and packaging.

UK buyers can choose Recorded or Special Delivery, prices as per the listing. Provided I receive payment by 12:30 Monday to Friday, I will post Special Delivery that day, otherwise it will go off the next working day. This is to allow me time to pack and process your order before my collection.

For overseas buyers, International Signed-for for overseas items is an optional £3.70 extra on boxes with contents up to £24.99; for boxes with contents over this amount the p&p automatically covers it. It is also required for some countries where fraud/theft etc is unfortunately an issue.

Please note that it is the buyer's responsibility to pay any Customs fees, local taxes etc; I will not falsify information on the Customs' form as this would leave me open to prosecution. If you are in any doubt about Customs and Exise fees or local taxes, please contact your relevant Government department for advice.

Postage discounts
Prices for the first item purchased are shown in the listings. Prices for addtional items, bought in any combination, are show here; where the items have different rates of p&p, the dearest/heaviest will count as the first.

Examples of how this works (prices for UK buyers, 2nd Class Standard, but the same principle applies to non-UK buyers)

Example 1
Say you buy four identical eggcups. The p&p for the first one is £2.40 and for the three extra ones is £1.20 each, so the total is £6.00 instead of £9.60, a saving of 40%.

Example 2
Say you buy one each of fox moneybox, fox toastrack, fox cruet, fox figure, fox figure with eggcup and fox face eggcup. As the dearest/heaviest is the moneybox (or the toastrack, they're the same), the p&p will be £3.95 for one those, £3.00 for the other, £1.50 for the cruet, £1.50 for the figure, £1.50 for the eggcup with figureand £1.20 for the face eggcup, making a total of £12.65 instead of £18.40, a saving of 31%.

Customer service and return policy
Even in the best regulated businesses, things occasionally go wrong. If you are in any way unhappy with your purchase, please contact me within seven days of receipt so that we can resolve it quickly and amicably.

If the item is damaged or not as described I will first ask you to email me a clear picture and a description of the fault/damage. If I am at fault, I will then ask you to return the item to me using a trackable/signed-for method in the original packing and within seven days of receipt, and will give you an exchange or refund including your return postage.

If you are unhappy with your purchase for any other reason, I will again ask for a picture and description of why you are not happy to see if we can resolve it as this stage. If we cannot, then please return it to me using Recorded Delivery in the original packaging within seven days of receipt, and I willll refund you the cost of the item but not the original cost of postage, nor the cost of returning it to me. You have a duty of care to keep it in good condition whilst it is in your possession so that I can resell it as new.

You must under all circumstances retain the packaging as it may be required for inspection; this may take several months for the postal executive to process.

If your item is returned to me by the Post Office because you didn't collect it or because you gave me an incorrect address I shall be happy to re-post it on receipt of the cost of doing so.

I always give negative feedback for people who don't pay.
