Five years ago my career as a HGV driver came to an abrupt end. I was found to have a heart condition, and I was obliged to tell DVLA. Unfortunately my beloved HGV licence was revoked. I was told it was highly unlikely I would drive a truck again. A very tough thing to accept.

So, I decided to put my previous electrical knowledge to use. I have a truck friend of mine who receives 'job lot' of various electrical items, from customer returns, to warranty returns. I get first refusal on these items. I either fix any issues with new returned items (never used, simply returned because of a cosmetic mark or very slight damage), or if it has been used and then returned under warranty, I refurbish the product with genuine spares I have in stock. We detail everything there is to know about the product, and we offer warranties with most of our items.  Notice I have gone from 'I' to 'WE'. That is because business is going well and my son's are now helping me.  So soon, it may be ACS & sons!!
