About SCIRE

The name SCIRE (prounounced "SKY-ER") comes from the latin meaning "To know", and is the basis of the word "Science". It is our goal to progress the investigation of the paranormal in ways which develops our knowledge of the amazing world we live in

SCIRE was formed by Andy Guy and Beth Smith who have been actively investigating the paranormal since 2010 at many locations across the UK.
These investigations were conducted using custom built environmental data loggers at key points throughout the location, with the investigation teams and outside the building as a control. Our range of equipment was born from spotting patterns in this data, correlated to recorded paranormal events.

Your investigations

Our equipment is designed to be enhance and support your current investigation techniques meaning little impact on how you do things. It can be used to backup results you get from your current kit, or give another source of evidence. It's designed to be super easy to deploy, so on a busy investigation you only need to find a good place to leave it, then switch it on!

Each device is equipped to alert you by sight (lights) or sound (audio) meaning you can set it down and continue to investigate how you prefer, all the while receiving alerts/notifying you when an occurrence happens across the room or in another location

Our equipment

The equipment is developed by experimental theorising, designed by seasoned investigators and tested in the field. It goes through many versions, taking into account feedback from users to make sure it is useful and progresses our knowledge of the unknown.

We have a long list of equipment in the pipeline, but we only release on this site the equipment which has proved actually useful in paranormal experiments. What you won't find on the site is anything which we haven't found useful.

Our goal isn't to profit from fellow investigators, but help share knowledge across the community. Hence our prices reflect that fact, with hefty discounts where we share any economies of scale with you, rather than pocketing it.
