Some Information About Peatstuff

Giving you a little more insight into the seller.
Hello and Welcome.

Thank you for stopping by. My name is Peter,
as I have now reached my early 60's I have decided to offer for sale over 45 years worth of collecting. After researching recently sold similar items to the ones that I will be offering I can generally arrive at a fair market value and will list items based on this criteria. Arriving at a fair market value can sometimes be a difficult task, therefore all reasonable offers are welcome and will be considered.

I will be offering for sale: -
Coins, Antiquities, Gold, Silver, Jewelry, Stamps, Bottles and many other interesting items.
A great number of my items are metal detecting finds from around Britain, many items have never been offered for sale before. Also on offer are Gold and Silver metal detecting finds from the beaches and the sea, from numerous locations around the Mediterranean.

Ever since I could walk I have been an avid collector, picking up Fossils from river beds, birds feathers from the woods and old bottles from rubbish tips etc.
My late farther had a similar collecting passion and I have to thank him for passing on parts of his collections to me.

I started metal detecting as a young boy in the early seventies and have been hooked ever since.
My first metal detector was a second hand C-Scope Induction balance model it looked more like a mine detector from the second world war lol. but for £3 it got me started thankfully they have come a long way since then.
Within a month of getting it I had found my first piece of Gold a 9ct gent's cuff link. Not worth a great deal but probably covered the cost of my investment, I was overjoyed and eager for more.
I still enjoy metal detecting over 45 years on. It’s a fascinating and wonderful hobby and I would recommend it to everyone.

Sadly due to work commitments I can't detect as often as I would like to, but we all have to make a living.
I spent the first 10 years of my working life as a Fireman in the West Yorkshire Fire Service, serving at Todmorden and Sowerby Bridge. From then on I set up my own business Halifax Glass Fibre making numerous products for various purposes. A large proportion of my work is in the motor sport industry and I have for example
designed and developed 250cc and 125cc Super Kart bodywork for many British and European champions. Andy Martin, John Riley and Graham Barker to name but a few.

For Your Peace of Mind.
I have been a member on feEbay for nearly 20 years

Help on attributions:-

I am deeply indebted to Dane Kurth for the help that she has provided to me
personally and through the ID links on her Helvetica site

The links to the RIC lists and Wildwinds website etc. have enabled me to attribute
virtually all of my Roman coin finds.
Without the RIC lists I would have been at a total loss.

Dane is also the Administrator for Wildwinds
The WildWinds website has been created as a reference, attribution and valuation
resource in the field of ancient numismatics.

I would encourage everyone to visit the Green Links above
and view for themselves the outstanding results that have been achieved
through dedication, determination and absolute devotion.

Many thanks Dane, you are a true Angel.
