Some Information About Donfitzg

Giving you a little more insight into the seller.
An ex-beancounter, I live with my wife, chocolate labrador, two cats, assorted fish and a hive of bees in a small cottage in a wooded valley just behind the lovely village of Porlock on Exmoor. (Change that - now three cats and two hives of bees).

I generally buy and sell on a casual basis on auction sites, but, following a charity walk that I did, my wife suggested that I carry on the good work by taking a stall at the village fair. When I questioned what I would sell, she suggested teapots. Hmm.... never one to do things by halves, I promptly bought up every pot that crossed my path, from the cheap and quirky to a Limoges porcelain one that would take a small mortgage to buy new (they don't sell one below £300, and do one in the USA for over $1,000). Unfortunately, I didn't gauge the buyers at the fair very well, and was left with quite a few pots, and very little to donate to the charities by way of profits. So, off to eBid....

Generally, I'll post off any pots using Royal Mail parcel post, unless the pot is of particular value (and there are a few of those), in which case I can send them off Special Delivery if the buyer wishes and meets the cost. All pots will be securely bubble-wrapped and boxed to save arriving in a decimated state (which, sadly, happened to me a few times when I was buying them up - do they play football with them ?). I've described them as well as I can, and have researched the costlier ones in detail to make sure that the price that I am asking is a reasonable one (generally it will be between 50-75% of the market value). If you are unhappy with any of the pots that you buy for any reason, I'll be happy to give a full refund on safe return of the pot at the buyer's cost within 30 days of the sale.

Please ask questions about my items - where I did my research, links so that you can verify these for yourself before parting with your hard-earned cash (it's a tough economy now), whether I'll delay postage and so forth.
