Text from the free encyclopedia WIKIPEDIA may appear below to give a little background information:
*************
Zons, or Feste Zons (Fortress Zons) is an old city in the Rhein-Kreis Neuss, Germany. It is now a part (Stadtteil) of the city of Dormagen since 1975. In 2006 its population was 5,405 (2006).
A local legend tells of the robbery of fifty pigs of the town by troops of Archbishop Salentin of Cologne. Eventually, the archbishop recompensed the inhabitants of Zons, so that the town claimed victory in the "Schweinefehde". A fountain in Zons commemorates the event.
