In the late 1960s, skirt lengths began to get very short indeed and the mini dress was born. New fabrics and printing methods enabled clothing to reflect the fashion for bold geometric prints.

  This stylish young lady is cast by me, from fine quality bisque porcelain and has light blonde hair in a Mary Quant style bob.

Her colourful geometric print cotton dress is a typical mini of the era; very short, straight and with contrasting silk hip belt and high necked collar. She wears a matching ‘Baker Boy’ cap and carries a silk bag with fine chain handle. A pair of white knee-length ‘crinkle’ boots completes this trendy outfit.

Underneath, this lovely lady wears simple cotton knickers.

  This doll is approx five and a half inches tall.
