Seller's Description

Original British 11 inch x 17 inch Trade Advertisement from Kinematograph Weekly for the 1952 Terry Bishop Comedy YOU'RE ONLY YOUNG TWICE, based on the play by James Bridie and starring Duncan Macrae, Joseph Tomelty, Patrick Barr, Charles Hawtrey, Diane Hart, Robert Urquhart, Edward Lexy, Jacqueline Mackenzie, Reginald Beckwith, Russell Waters, Ronnie Corbett and Archie Duncan.

The film was produced by John Baxter for the short-lived company Group 3 which was set up by The National Film Finance Corporation as an independent unit to finance low-budget films with untried directors with John Grierson as chairman.

Macrae excels as the puritanical head of a Scottish university brought down by his own folly.

Advert art by Peter Sachs who worked on animation films for W.M. Larkins Studio during the 1940s and 1950s.

The trade advert is in very good condition with one vertical fold and 4 staple holes along it.
