Seller's Description

Original 1840s 10 inch x 6 5/8 inch Etching and Engraving titled THE WITCH OF THE ALPS

From Manfred: A dramatic poem is a closet drama written in 1816–1817 by Lord Byron. It contains supernatural elements, in keeping with the popularity of the ghost story in England at the time. It is a typical example of a Gothic fiction.

Printed by Kenny Meadows (1790 - 1874)

Image size 5 1/2 inch x 4 1/4 inch

The engraving is in very good condition with light stains in the upper right border corner and the lower left border corner.
