During my bout with cancer a few years ago, I was irresistibly drawn to this portion of scripture with its emphasis on practical righteousness in every area of life.
While recuperating from my illness, I was encouraged to produce a devotional book that would flesh out the great themes of this book in expository form and homiletical structure.
Lifting out a proverb from each chapter of the book, I chose "windows of wisdom" that open fresh, helpful outlines for the teacher and preacher who is looking for devotional material for his Bible class or church service.
Here is more than a book of literature to analyze; here is a blueprint for life to be dramatized on the stage of life.

About the Author
Dr. Stephen Olford is the founder of the Stephen Olford Center for Biblical Preaching in Memphis, TN, where he is senior lecturer.
Born in Africa of missionary parents, he received his formal education in England.
In 1953 he bacame pastor of Duke Street Baptist Church of New York City.
He holds a doctorate in theology and is the author of numerous books and booklets.
He and his wife, Heather, have tow sons--Jonathan and David.
