Original circa 1835 5 1/2 inch x 4 3/8 inch Etching and Engraving titled THE WIDOW OF EMS
Joséphine; a young woman curling up on a couch, and looking towards the viewer; she is holding a fan in her right hand.
Engraved by Charles Rolls (1799 - 1885). Charles Rolls engraved illustrations for several books and painted still-lifes of flowers and fruit.
From a picture by Eugène-François-Marie-Joseph Devéria (1805 - 1865). A French Romantic painter of history paintings.
